Nelson Mandela, who led the emancipation of South Africa from white minority rule and served as his country’s first black president, becoming an international emblem of dignity and forbearance, died Thursday night. He was 95.
Your legacy and wisdom will carry us on. May you rest in peace.
Note to self: Stop living in the past.
It feels damn good to be recognized and rewarded for my hard work. I go to work everyday, because I need to make a living and to build a future. Most importantly, I do it because I love it. It makes me feel useful and needed.
#actors who are actually their character
the greatest casting ever.
Even better when you think about how Dan got a place for himself in NY to continue his career, Emma went to a school in USA, and Rupert bought an ice cream truck.
Follow your dreams Rupert
I didn’t know this. So I looked it up and - HE ACTUALLY DID.
‘I keep my van well stocked. It’s got a proper machine that dispenses Mr Whippy ice cream and I buy my lollies wholesale – 50 for a tenner – so I never run short.
I’m not allowed to sell my merchandise. I’d need a licence for that. ‘I tend to avoid July and August, but the rest of the year I’ll drive around the local villages and if I see some kids looking like they’re in need of ice creams, I’ll pull over and dish them out for free. They’ll say, “Ain’t you Ron Weasley?” And I’ll say, “It’s strange, I get asked that a lot.”
It makes it even better that he just GIVES the icecream away.

Someone tells you, “You have a great personality!”
Sir, you’ve only met me twice…in a professional setting. You’ve only seen the outer most shell of my personality. But I am grateful for your kind words, for this is one of the most genuine compliments I could ever receive from anybody.
To me, the perks of working in a healthcare setting include being able to meet people from one end of a spectrum to another, listen to the most bizarre stories, and in the end try to build a connection with each and every one of them. This kind of interaction enriches my experience and opens my eyes to the lives that others are living in this world.
